Growing Area

Yunnan province is located in the far southwest of the China, bordering on three countries (Vietnam, Laos and Burma) of Southeast Asian, which is assumed to be homeland of lemongrass. Like other parts of the world, both the geographical and climate conditions in Yunnan provide excellent conditions for lemongrass. Yunnan has a generally mild climate with pleasant and fair weather because of the province's location on south-facing mountain slopes influenced by both the Pacific and Indian oceans. Much of the province lies within the subtropical highland or humid subtropical zone with mild to warm winters, and tempered summers, except in the almost tropical south. As the China’s most diverse province, Yunnan is known as the fine fame “kingdom of plants “and “kingdom of animals“ and it’s capital “Kunming” also called “spring city and flower city “due to its warm weather all the year around.
