A consistent front-runner on the international award-circuit, this Oro Bailen - Extra Virgin Olive Oil is not your ordinary Picual. A truly outstanding oil in a first class of its own, this extra virgin olive oil is produced in the olive groves located in the foothills of the Sierra Morena, the northern mountain range in the province of Jaén. Harvested at the beginning of November at their optimal point of ripeness, this oil has exceptionally high organoleptic characteristics, making it stand out above other oils due to the intensity of its fruity flavor and the complexity of its aromas, which include tomato, apple, banana, green almond, fig and freshly cut grass. Herbaceous and fruity, it is an exceptional balance between bitter and spicy.

Additional Information

Brickmaking as main activity, the Gálvez family - Gonzalez, decided back in 2002 that, as was the market Olive Oil Extra Virgin, a small loophole through which to develop a new line of manufacture of oils loomed high quality, where not only would the idea of a different product but a new way of understanding this olive juice that for so many centuries has been part of Mediterranean culture and hallmark in our culinary activity.

These premises, it is as they embark on an exciting new project, in addition to being producers of olive oil (harvesters), integrate the various stages of the production process that could help them reach the final consumer, from the processor, through packager and marketer, guaranteeing perfect traceability throughout the course of this process, starting from the formation of the fruit in the field and ends with the sale of the final product and transmission of the new philosophy of extra virgin olive oil to the consumer.

Despite our few years of existence as processors olive oil, is the third generation that today is linked to the production of olive oil (growers), and in 1999 when Galvez Gonzalez family acquired its 2 olive farms, "La Casa del Agua" and "Juncales" the first a farm called rolling countryside and where the mill is located at the foot of the motorway (A4) and the second; saw a farm (Sierra Morena).

Thus Galgon 99, SL was founded in 2005 as a producer, packager and marketer of extra virgin olive oil, from the olives produced in the olive groves of the family.
