EQUILIBRATO DOP CHIANTI CLASSICO: Certified DOP (Denomination of Protected Origin) Chianti Classico, this medium-fruity oil is characterized by artichoke, radish and notes of black pepper and nuts. With an aroma of green almond, artichoke and arugula, its flavor is pungent with additional notes of radish, sage and rosemary and an almond and black pepper finish. Pressed from Moraiolo, Frantoio and Leccino varieties.
INTENSO: A medium-intense fruity oil characterized by artichoke, cucumber and nutmeg accompanied by notes of green tomato, unripe banana and rosemary with a spicy, black pepper finish. IGP TOSCANO: Pressed from hand-picked olives grown in the San Polo area of Chianti, this IGP (Protected Geographical Indication) certified, medium-light fruity oil, is well-balanced with notes of fruit and sweet vegetables, with aromas of pumpkin, basil and fennel. Its flavor is accompanied by olives notes with a slight spicy, white pepper finish.
The PRUNETI Company is made up of 80 hectares of olive groves on which there are around 25,000 plants, 5 hectares of vineyards, 4 hectares of iris and some plots of land reserved for the cultivation of saffron. All the land is cultivated by organic means. The first production site is the family’s farmhouse, situated close to the production land, in San Polo in Chianti. The oil mill was built in 2009 due to Paolo and Gionni Pruneti’s will to personally manage all phases of production. The new facility was expanded in 2013 and now stands at more than 1,000 m2. It is completely dedicated to production: mill, storage and bottling line. In 2010 the “Oil-Tasting Room” was built next to the mill: a space entirely dedicated to knowledge and promotion of extra-virgin olive oil, which is achieved through tastings and events.
